Documentary "The Audition"

This 1 hour and 47 minute documentary was recommended by the YouTube engines, based on my track record for watching videos about opera and silly celebrity interviews. It starts with tenor Michael Fabiano taking in a singing lesson in preparation for the Metropolitan Opera's National Council Auditions, going on to cover the competition proper. Follow these young hopefuls as they pursue their dreams of becoming a professional opera singer, its a great look at what goes on behind-the-scenes of our favourite opera productions:

About Wreck-It Ralph

Wreck-it Ralph marks the 52nd animated movie released by the Walt Disney Animated Classic series.

The hero of the movie is a video game villain, Wreck-It Ralph, who protests against his job and wants to become a hero. He journeys to other games, trying to change his image as the bad-guy-whom-we-love-to-hate, failing along the way until a terrible threat befalls the entire arcade. Here’s the chance for Ralph to prove himself, but will he be able to change his fate and save the entire arcade?

Rich Moore is the director of the movie. He is also known for having helmed episodes of The Simpsons and Futurama. John Lasseter is the executive producer, he is the Chief Creative Officer at Disney and director of some the most popular Pixar movies, including Toy Story, A Bug’s Life and Cars.

How I Spent My Birthday

Just so you know, 28 February is a public holiday in Taiwan (something about commemorating political victims), but rather than nest in bed as I usually do, here's a breakdown of what I did today for my university's production of La Boheme:

8am: vocalising
9am: lead choir practice
10am: sang choir and Alcindoro simultaneously
1pm: More choir practice
2pm: page turner
3pm: Rehearse Benoit

So it's been a busy day, but perhaps this is God's way of telling me that I may most likely have a career in this?
